Important Notice: New Waste Collection Service Beginning July 1, 2026

Pike County is transitioning to automated cart collection through a new contract with Waste Management. If you are a county resident, here is what you need to know right now:

Your new 96-gallon green cart is being delivered to your address. It includes an instruction notice. No action is needed to receive it.

Service begins July 1, 2026. You may begin using your new cart on your first scheduled pickup day after that date.

Your pickup day is not changing.

Billing remains with Pike County Solid Waste at the rates and contact information on this page. You will not pay Waste Management directly.

Residential rate: $18.00 per month. Additional carts available at $9.20/month each (maximum two additional carts per household).

New accounts and delinquent account reconnections are subject to a $50.00 service activation fee.
